Tubing the Esopus River outside of Phoenicia Regional Attractions

Adventuring into the surrounding countryside, you'll find hiking trails, ski slopes, antique shops and family attractions within minutes.

County Route 47 (Slide Mountain Road), leading to Full Moon's doorstep, is home to three state trailheads. Giant Ledge Trail, just up the road, carries hikers to one of the most scenic vistas in all New York.

Full Moon is also centrally located for the Catskills finest skiing. Belleayre Mountain is fifteen minutes away, Hunter Mountain and Plattekill a half-hour and Windham, forty-five minutes.

In the warmer months, fly fishermen from around the country are drawn here to three of the Northeast's most fabled trout streams - the Beaverkill, East Branch of the Delaware and the Esopus Creek….which literally runs along the property's edge, winding through the mountains to the Ashokan Reservoir.

At Phoenicia, others enjoy tubing the creek and shopping at Catskill Corners, home of the world's largest kaleidoscopes. And speaking of kaleidoscopes, a stroll through the charming and eccentric shops in nearby Woodstock is a colorful adventure in itself! Antiquing in Margaretville and other neighboring towns unearths even more hidden treasures.
