A centerpiece of winter fun at Full Moon is downhill skiing & snowboarding. Belleayre Mountain, just fifteen minutes down the road, has become one of the premier family ski centers in the state. Hunter Mountain and Ski Plattekill, each about a thirty minute drive and Windham Mountain, forty five minutes away, have also long been considered superb Catskill Mountain ski areas.

With over a hundred acres of fields, meadows and wooded areas, Full Moon is a wonderful site for rustic (ungroomed) cross country skiing and snowshoeing. Guests are asked to bring their own equipment. For those who prefer highly groomed trails and ski rentals, the Frost Valley XC Ski Center is just a few miles away.
